Thanksgiving Gratitude

No, I'm not American, and I've actually already celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving - but I never had a chance to write out the list of all of the things in 2012 for which I am grateful.  This seems like a good second chance to do it.

Things I am grateful for in 2012
  • First and foremost, my loving and generous family and friends who have loved and supported me throughout all of this year
  • The ability to say that I am in love with my best friend
  • My physical health (even despite the ski accident!)
  • The pleasure of showing Paris to my best friends, C, S and E, who visited me from Hong Kong, London and Dubai
  • Mama and Papa's spring visit to Europe
  • The opportunity to live in the Marais and in the oh-so-hip 11e
  • The decision of two of my favourite and loved people in the world, S and R, to take the leap of faith and embark on the adventure of entrepreneurship
  • The few days in Rome with my closest friends
  • The week in Provence with my ♥ and even more of my closest friends :)
  • The incredible surprise birthday party thrown for me by all of them (thanks to my superbly organised best friend S)
  • The gift of watching the love story of S and F unfold
  • Three weeks of one-on-one time with my baby sister L for the first time in our sisterhood
  • My impromptu first-class flight to Dubai and being able to rub preggers E's tummy
  • The successful births of T's and E's baby girl and boy
  • My middle sister N's upcoming move to Barcelona, where she will be much closer to me geographically (at least, for half the time)
  • My brother R's new outlook on life
  • Family time in Vancouver
  • The opportunity to discover more of the city that I love (Buenos Aires) with the person that I love (R)
  • Horseback riding in Las Pampas
  • My upcoming return to France

I know that this isn't everything, but simply the first things that come to my mind for now.  In general, I find that there are so many more things for which to be grateful in life than we have the ability to acknowledge.  But it's always good to start somewhere.  :)  Happy American Thanksgiving, everyone!
