As you may have noticed, lately I've been blogging a lot about hot chocolate - from the best cup of chocolat chaud in Paris to the best chocolate y churros in Buenos Aires to my top picks for the best hot chocolate in New York City. All of this yummy blogging had me craving Angelina's hot chocolate from the moment I landed in Paris - and indeed it was the first stop I made within my first hour back in the city. Thanks to La Maison Angelina, I have a few new tin boxes of their very own famous chocolat chaud à l'ancienne, and I am giving one away to a chocoholic reader!
If you want to enter for a chance to win what is possibly some of the best hot chocolate in the world (yes, I shall ship it to you wherever you are!), all you need to do is a) add Little Pieces of Lights via Google Friend Connect and b) leave a comment below telling me where your favourite place in the world for hot chocolate is.
If you want to increase your chances of winning January's giveaway, you can also do any of the following, each of which will count as an extra entry in your name:
- Like Little Pieces of Light on Facebook
- Follow Milsters Mac on Twitter
- Add Little Pieces of Light on Bloglovin'

If you participate in any of these additional entries, don't forget to let me know in the comment you leave so that I can keep track! This giveaway closes in 2 weeks' time on Friday 18 January at 18h CET and the winner will be chosen using a random number generator.
Good luck and I hope that wherever you are this January, you are feeling warm & cosy!

ReplyDeleteOh yum, Angelina's! I picked up one of those yummy tins in 2011 and oh my I want to win one! I also like Cafe de Flore. Chocolat chaud is the best in Paris!
ReplyDeleteI usually go to Angelina's, but I recently heard that a place in the Village Saint-Paul quartier is supposed to rival Angelina's. I'll have to taste both several times to make a decision.
ReplyDeleteI love Angelina - but without one in NYC, I will stick to the hazelnut hot choc at Grom, complete with hazelnut bits at the bottom of the cup! so yumm!
ReplyDeleteps follow you everywhere now - twitter, google +, pinterest and bloglovin!
Angelina's is in my top 5, but Laduree and Cafe de la Paix are also FABULOUS
ReplyDeleteAh, I looove Café de la Paix as well! I did a post on them and their amazing hot chocolate earlier in 2012. You can read it here: http://www.littlepiecesoflight.com/2012/05/opulence-at-cafe-de-la-paix.html
ReplyDeleteOoooh have never tried hot chocolat at Grom! I will have to give it a try and possibly add it to my top picks list for NYC! And thank you for adding me everywhere - have also added you back on Pinterest. Bonne année !
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Do you remember where in Village Saint-Paul it is? I am spending much of the day near the Marais today and would love to try it out.
ReplyDeleteAngelina's is incredible! Favourite place to visit in Paris.

ReplyDeleteThe Chocolate House in Luxembourg is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh that sounds intriguing. I've been to Luxembourg a couple of times but have never had hot chocolate there - I will keep that in mind for whenever I go next! Thank you for the tip :)

ReplyDeleteI like you on facebook too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, La Chapstick Fanatique! Shame you don't remember the name of the place in Barcelona. I am heading there tomorrow to help my sister with her move! I'll let you know if I find any great chocolate y churros places there :)
ReplyDeleteAh wow, Williams Sonoma makes hot chocolate too? I never knew that! Thanks for the tip

ReplyDeleteI can't find you on G+ :( The link did not work and Little Pieces of Light could not be found when googled. I have, however liked on facebook and followed on twitter! My favorite place in all the world to drink hot chocolate is on the couch at home (Lexington, Ky) snuggled up to my boyfriend of 9 years while we watch movieslate at night :)
ReplyDeleteHello Sharon! Thanks for letting me know that the link wasn't working. I've just fixed it across my page and you can add LPoL on Google+ by clicking on this link below, or clicking on the "Join This Site with Google Friend Connect" at the bottom of the right-hand side bar:

Hi there! Ooooh I love Jacques Torres' Wicked Hot Chocolate! I listed it in my top picks for hot chocolate in NYC in a recent post: http://www.littlepiecesoflight.com/2012/12/best-places-for-hot-chocolate-in-new.html
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your new year!
Wow. That sounds incredible. I hope I win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place for hot cocoa would have to be my grandmother's kitchen. Her parents were from Mexico and the Mexicans take their hot cocoa seriously. I love the spiciness.
Oh, and I'm following you on FB, Bloglovin' and Pinterest.
DeleteJust wanted to add that I now follow you on FB! Not sure how to do the rest as I'm technically challenged:) Thanks for such a great give-a-way!
ReplyDeleteLOL don't worry, I understand how you feel. It took me ages to figure out Google Friend Connect and I still sometimes have trouble with it! Thanks for following me on FB :)
ReplyDeleteI follow you on GFC as Erika. This looks delicious! I would have to say Williams Sonoma makes the best hot chocolate in this area. Harry and David has some great ones too!
ReplyDeleteYou're the second person to mention WS! I didn't realise that they made hot chocolate but I am definitely going to check it out now. :) Which city do you live in?

ReplyDeleteYay, I didn't know that you were on FB, twitter, pinterest. I'm not following you on all of them :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place is in my own home(does that count?), homemade hot chocolate, and a pinch of chili powder(as I watched when I was younger via the movie Chocolat) :)
- miss you!
Finally remembered to enter!
ReplyDeletea) I actually didn't read very closely so I followed you on everything (I was already following you on some and I have no idea why I wasn't on the others), as either Isa or La Saloperie. But more entries, I guess! Yay!
b) Best hot chocolate ever was in this little cafe in Ghent - it was raining and the cafe was half underground so we just ran down the stairs and found ourselves in this little dark space with quite possibly THE MOST DELICIOUS HOT COCOA EVER. But you know. Belgians. They do that stuff well. And waffles.
It would be in germany with my family!

ReplyDeleteI have NOOO idea, I just remember it was somewhere near the square with the giant old church. You had to walk down into it. To be fair, though, I'm sure MOST cafes there will have amazing hot chocolate - also, try the gaufres de Liège (I think I literally ate 15 of them in one day (I was only in Brussels for one day) and I felt so sick afterwards, but it was so worth it!).
ReplyDeleteI follow via GFC as deb_oro
ReplyDeleteI'd say my favorite place for hot chocolate is in my hometown, Thessaloniki, mostly for sentimental reasons.
It's where we went everyday when we were students, a cute cafe called "Εν Μικρώ" (which means "in the little place", in ancient Greek).
I still love it for the great selection of flavours, and for keeping the one with pepper in the catalogue, although few people order it. I am one of them, of course :-)
Happy new year and thank you for the beautiful posts, good luck with the Marais apartment, I know how extraordinary is to find an affordable place there ;-)
